Cheers to 2025!

Hi Friends, Happy New Year! 2025 was a blast! God blessed my family with so many opportunities and adventures and for this post I would like to highlight my favorite memories!  January was fun just because it was the start of a new year! I just knew that 2025 was going to be the best...but I'm pretty sure I have always said that! I won't lie though 2025 was an adventure! There was no dull month of last year, we always had something to look forward to. The Lord has really blessed us!  Woohoo!! It is almost the year anniversary of this blog! I can't believe it! Thank you all for  reading these posts and supporting me every step of the way! This of course is my favorite moment of February! I love sharing with ya'll the highs and lows of my life!  March and April were filled with taekwondo activities. We got together with some friends and painted the school all black. We even added a rock wall which the kids love! We really tried to make it feel like a second home! June ...

St. Louis!

Hi Friends, This past month my family and some friends of ours went on an epic vacation to St. Louis Missouri! We left at 7 the first day and drove the first 8 hours to durant MO and then drove the rest the next day. Some people despise driving but we take so many fun stops that it feels like a real part of the trip.     Our main theme of stops this trip was: THE WORLDS LARGEST! So over the duration of our trip we saw the worlds largest peanut, fork, belt buckle, shoe string and pencil. Although my personal favorite was the fork!  Our first real day in St. Louis consisted of our all time favorite attraction the city museum! The city museum is one of the hardest places to describe to someone because it is the largest indoor/outdoor playground made entirely out of junk! The entire place is filled ten stories worth of slides, tunnels, caves etc. There is even an entire roof portion with a ferris wheel and a school bus hanging on the side of the building. After six and ...

To Read or not to Read...

Hey Friends, My absolute favorite type of books to read are romances and not just the classic tale of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, (Although I do love that one) but also more modern romantic comedies! The worst part about reading a romance is when you are halfway through loving the story and BAM it tells you something you can never unread! Making you think how it would have been fine without that little paragraph. That is why I am thankful for Authors who understand and write books anyone can enjoy. Here is a list of my top favorite romance authors who capture the picture without all that junk. Rachel Hauck:         Spotlight-         "Meet me at the Starlight" Jenny B. Jones:        Spotlight-        "There you'll find Me" Denise Hunter:         Spotlight-       " Sweetwater Gap" Kristin Billerbeck:    Spotlight-        "Perfectly Dateless" ...

Next Stop....Brokenbow!

Image
Hey Y'all! Last week we took a trip with some friends to Brokenbow, Oklahoma! I am not lying when I say it was one of my top favorite vacations! It is so beautiful there and I highly recommend..definitely not what I expected!  Our house we stayed in was so cool! The boys had a bunk room while the girls stayed in a secret room behind the laundry room. I felt like Harry Potter although there was no stairs! The best part is we had a creek and a game/movie room outside of the house! Almost every night was spent in there! The first day we were there we went to Beaver Bend State Park. We did two hikes, on one we even saw a huge waterfall! Our biggest worry was poison Ivy...everyone says leaves of three but do they know how many plants have three leaves! You can barely tell one from the other! Now don't get paranoid though I walked through many plants on this trip and was not itchy once. Your all set! The second day was even crazier, we tried out the Maze of Hochotown! This was 29,0...

Once Upon a Garden...

Hey Everybody, One thing I love to see are gardens. Now, not just any ordinary garden but one that instantly makes you happy when you walk in it! One with many varieties of flowers, trellises and food.  I will tell you if I didn't have my garden I would never eat green vegetables. This year I have started with cantaloupe, basil, strawberries, hot peppers, tomatoes, and zucchini. So far all of that is happy and healthy.  I did kill some cilantro I got from a friend. I felt bad because it made her sad and that cilantro was really rad! (Heh.. I didn't know it but I'm a poet) Lets just say that was Gods way of telling me that me and cilantro aren't meant to be together.  I did get the basil to make two things: basil brownies and pesto.  The brownies turned out good but were very time consuming. The taste was very interesting and everyone that tried them said they thought they tasted like mint chocolate. Of course not everyone enjoyed them. That is just the way life...

Hey Y'all, As much as I love books I also have a big excitement for watching movies! Movie nights with my family are quite possibly my favorite nights! Today I have a list of my top ten favorites and if you have never watched them, you have never lived! If you have seen them thought please, let me know which one is your favorite! 1)  Ramona and Beezus                                         2) Forever my Girl                                                   3)  Tangled                                   ...

Kansas!

Hey Y'all, One day my mom came and told us we were going on vacation to none other than Kansas. In case you were wondering Kansas isn't all tumbleweeds and tornadoes, it actually had many hidden gems. If you know us there is always going to be at least one off the beaten path stop along the way. This trips was the Route 66 Museum. It was a fun drive by with lots of old cars and memorabilia.                                                                         One thing about our family is we have a hard time finding hotel rooms for six people, for this particular road trip my grandma rode along with us so that makes seven. Lucky for us my mom is superb at finding houses we can stay in and Kansas surprisingly had great ones! My favorite house we stayed in of course was called the Gingerbread house!...
